get lost!

On the day after the burn at Burning Man this year, as a gift to everybody who hadn't left yet, I whipped out my trusty old Crown Graphic press camera and took a 4x5 Polaroid of each member of our camp so everybody could have a picture of what they looked like after a week (or more) in the desert. I finally got around to scanning the Polaroid Type 55 negatives that didn't get torn, crumpled or scratched beyond recognition on the way back from Burning Man. So, if any of you don't see your picture, you got a one of a kind print! Maybe it'll uh, be worth something someday.

So take a look at 18 happy campers from Get Lost! (who, for the most part, look surprisingly fresh and clean for having spent a week with no running water).

I was only able to see the first picture...is it because I'm on a Mac or...?

Maybe your browser is old? There is a link at the bottom to see the rest of the images.

Depending on browser, screen resolution and browser version, the popup window is too small sometimes so the links are below the window's lower end.
Possible solutions for visitors:
- With a three button mouse (or a two button one which simulates the third button), scroll down. This will work even though there are no scrollbars.
- Open the page in full screen mode by double clicking on the window title bar or by pressing ctrl+n (maybe IE only)
Possible solutions for kia and other developers:
- Make the window larger
- Make different versions for different browsers. In your javascript, do a test for version and name and set the size accordingly
- Put the links to the top instead to the bottom
- Don't use pop ups at all. Most web washers disable them. Remember, we could do without in 1994 and websited still looked good though
- Remember, if you do websites in your free time, it doesn't have to be perfect or to run on every browser

You truly have a knack for portraits, Kia.

beautiful stuff. I was just browsing your journal archive and I'm glad to stumble upon these.
