Now that I take Highway 280 to work, my cube is about 60 miles away from my home. Given the size of the parking lot, and my time arriving compared to others who live closer, I park usually about 2 city blocks away from the company's front door. My cube is on the 4th floor of Building ELEVEN (the first 9 buildings, to be fair, are at the company's OTHER campus). My cube is near the windows. The bathroom is only about 200 yards away, but the break room, with the soda machines and coffee, is about a block away. The cube-break room - bathroom loop takes me about 7 minutes start to finish.
Who says I don't travel much for work?
Posted by rebeca at October 06, 2004 01:03 PMDo you complain about commuting because it is something you really hate or it is something you just complain about? You cannot find a job closer to where you live? You really do not know how lucky you are since there are some people who commute 100 miles a day just like you to a temp job, not knowing when they will be told it is their last day. They still do it because it is a way to make a living whereas you work for a successful company and have a real job.
