Sunday morning we drive to Ellensburg for David's MA recital; Monday to the airport. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday are sweet, sweet getaway time in Seattle. Any recommendations on where to stay, what to eat, and things to see?

You MUST go to Pike Place Market.

No trip to Seattle is complete without a morning in Elliot Bay bookstore. [ http://www.elliottbaybook.com ] We actually plan our departure times from Seattle to allow a few hours to case the store and load up on employee recommendations and rare film books.

You also might like to troll along Capital Hill -Kia - help me out here - I can't remember what the main drag is called. I saw many kids in black though - you'll fit right in!

If you have a car, do a ferry trip to Bainbridge or something.

There are many many choice dining experiences to be had as well. I'll try and dig out old itineraries and receipts for some directions for you!

Yep - we're actually looking for nice B&B type accomodations in Capitol Hill - it was my fave 'hood the other tiny trips we've had there. Ideally, i'd like to stay within walking distance of the main drag in CH. And the bookstore is now on my list!
