my very own personal thanks goes out to the academy this evening... and not for that ridiculous awards ceremony (is it just me or is television becoming blatantly plastic?). michael moore won a well deserved academy award this evening for his recent film, BOWLING FOR COLUMBINE. i believe this was the first time i've ever seen someone who really deserved an award take home the bacon. needless to say, i am quite pleased.

the real thank you here goes to mr. moore... i was merely thanking the academy for giving him the opportunity to speak. these days, the war is a touchy subject for those involved in entertainment. most don't even bother to open up their mouths. maybe that's what i like about mr. moore... he's not afraid to come in and stir things up a bit.
after his thank yous, mr. moore invited the others nominated onto the stage with him and sqeezed in a little " bush has been a bad boy." job security is important to some people, and i'm sure nominies were encouraged to keep their mouths shut. thank goodness michael moore couldn't pass up the opprtunity[ fade to commercial ].
