Getting some attention on Heartburn; it got listed on the audio plugin news site K-v-R today. I'm a bit nervous about it; real professional soft synths and the like get reviewed there.
Seems like a lot of people want Mac versions of my plugins. It's in the cards, really. Might not happen right off the bat, but some day. (Shiny iMac calling to me.) I've also gotten nice words about Heartburn and other audio projects. from several people I haven't heard from before.
I completely choked on a pre-job-interview programming test today. Did great on the first four questions, finished them in about half an hour; the last took about twice the total alloted time for the test. It just involved techniques that I have basically no experience with; an intersection of things that individually I understand, but in combination were just really hard for me. I feel like a complete knob. I haven't heard anything back from them yet. I don't know if many of their applicants flail on that problem or what. I kept the "proctor" advised as I went, mailing him the answers to the first 4 problems before the original time limit was up, then later mailing to ask if he wanted me to keep working on it overtime, and finally to give him my completed, horribly inelegant, solution. Dunno if he just scratched my name off the list after the first mail or what.
A woman of generous character will sacrifice her life a thousand times
over for her lover, but will break with him for ever over a question of
pride -- for the opening or the shutting of a door.
